Caseificio dell’Alta Langa

Caseificio dell’Alta Langa is located in Bosia, a little village of Alta Langa area, in the Piedmontese hills.

Roots are very important to Caseificio dell’Alta Langa, that’s why all of the production comes from the traditions handed down by the people living in these places.

In Caseificio dell’Alta Langa’s territory, made of steep slopes and far from the most important trade routes, is still nearly “uncontaminated”, with its economy based mainly on little breeding of goats, sheep and cows. Hence the dairy production: because of the small quantity of milk obtained by the everyday milking, people used to produce small size mixed milk cheeses, example of what they call the “langarola” tradition.

Now the work keeps Caseificio dell’Alta Langa’s grandparents’ tradition alive and spreads it in Italy and all over the world, thanks to the high quality cheeses: synthesis of craftmanship, human skills and technological innovation.
